Our Story

Kim and Paul's story together starts with cats! Kim was Paul's long time cat sitter, always available and happy to help. As a thank you, Paul invited Kim to dinner in the spring of 2018. Unknowingly, the thank-you dinner turned out to be their first unofficial date and the start of their greatest adventure.

In addition to their mutual love of cats, Kim and Paul quickly discovered they had much more in common. Both share a love for travel and adventure. This led to many trips together both near and far. Locations include Barcelona, Dublin, Denver, Colorado Springs, New York City, The Berkshires, Niagara Falls, Syracuse, Seneca Falls, Boston, Orlando, Cape Cod, Newport, Saybrook Point, Portland, Maine, Washington, DC, among many more.

Not only an excitement for travel and adventure made the New England Air Museum the obvious choice for their wedding venue, but Paul's career as an aerospace engineer made the museum feel like the perfect fit. Paul has had a life long interest in aviation and has dedicated his career to the design and development of electronic engine control systems. As the Director of Engineering and Software at Triumph Control Systems in West Hartford, CT, Paul's designs can be found on virtually any aircraft flying today. In fact, Paul will be able to tell you about any of the aircraft in the New England Air Museum! The museum is the largest aviation museum in New England and is filled with historically significant aircraft on display and interesting exhibits, all of which will be available for our guests to explore during the evening. Enjoy your cocktails in the cockpits!
